Built for skeptics who still want answers.
Most of what gets written about essential oils online is either marketing copy or wishful thinking. The studies exist, but they live behind paywalls and PubMed search syntax that nobody outside research has time to navigate.
OilSensei is the answer we wanted: clear, careful guides that read the actual research, weigh the safety, and tell you which claims hold up. When peppermint oil really does help with tension headaches, we say so. When the same oil does not repel bees the way Pinterest claims, we say that too.
We are small on purpose. One editor with one set of eyes on every guide means a consistent voice and a clear chain of accountability. If something is wrong, you know who to email.

Every OilSensei guide goes through the same process. Here is what that looks like, and what it explicitly does not include.

We pull peer-reviewed research from PubMed, Cochrane, and primary journals. AI helps us gather and surface relevant studies; it does not write the verdicts. A human reads the studies and decides.

Every guide is rewritten and fact-checked by hand before publishing. If a claim cannot be sourced, it does not run.
